a Safe Space For You
Life brings many challenges, and it is understandable that at times we might look for support in facing them. My role as your counsellor is to provide you a safe, confidential space to navigate what is happening in your life and walk with you on a journey of self-discovery and growth. Together we can explore your situation in a way that leads to fresh perspectives and empowers you to make lasting, meaningful changes in your life.
Specialisms
ADHD
I specialise in working with adults 18 and older with ADHD. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or awaiting assesment, together we can work towards gaining insight and understanding of ADHD and its effect on you and empowering you in ways to effectively manage your symptoms.
Alternatively, you may only suspect you have ADHD. Together, we can explore your symptoms and if assessment is right for you.
Please note – I am not qualified to assess, diagnose or prescribe medication. I do have training in these areas though and able to support you as you navigate those processes.
Bereavement
I also have specialty experience working with bereavement and grief, especially where the grief might be considered complex. If you have experienced multiple losses within a short space of time, whether as a result of losing a loved one, or through another type of loss (loss of job, home, income, etc.) or despite the passage of time, the feelings of grief are long lasting and creating difficulty with moving forward in life, bereavement/grief counselling can provide the space to explore what has happened, reconstruct meaning in your life and find ways to integrate the experience of grief.
Other Areas of Work
I am experienced working with a range of other issues such as fertility issues, depression, anxiety, work related stress, and life transitions. If you’re seeking therapy for an issue not listed here, please get in touch to discuss your counselling needs.
